Warm family moments” like the Feilers’ are ruined when someone reaches for a tech device. Devices do cause tension in my family, when were out for or having family dinner. Someone always say something about me texting or wanting to go on my laptop. If at all, members of my family text or do Web searches during dinner when were eating it's less conversations and distraction on spending quality time. It's not acceptable or taboo in your family to do so.

How does technology affect the thinking patterns of the teenagers of today?

I think technology affect the thinking patterns of the teenagers of today because it makes us less patient. Using myself as an example, I get upset quickly when my computer is running slow and I want it to run faster, as for when I'm doing anything else I like everything to go my way and if it doesn't I get upset. I believe that technology makes me less patient.

What do you think is the greatest problems facing the teenagers of today?

The greatest problems that teenagers face today is the battle becoming adults, having to deal with jobs that aren’t the greatest, school work that always seems to get harder no matter how much you study, parents peering over your shoulder constantly pounding this hammer on your head, college and its grand scheme.

How old do you think someone should be before they are allowed to create a Facebook account? Why?

I think you should be 14 years old before your allowed to create a facebook account. That's because around that age is when you start maturing as a kid and you could interact with your friends as you get older at that age.e

How old do you think someone should be before they are allowed to play violent video games? Should parents buy violent video games for minors? Why?

I think kids should be at least 13 years old before there allowed to play violent video games. No, parents shouldn't buy violent video games for minor. At a young age kids shouldn't be able to play violent games, because it might put in his head to the violent behavior and killing is okay.

How much time (and money) do you spend texting? Do you recognize yourself at all in these teens’ stories? Do you often switch between doing homework and things like checking Facebook, watching videos or playing games? Do you find it hard to focus on and process your schoolwork? Are your grades affected? Do you – or your parents – try to set limits on your use of technology?

I spend alot of time texting. Yes I recognize myself in a teen story. Yes I check my facebook, between doing my homework. No I don't find it hard to focus on my schoolwork, depending a pond if the class is fun or just boring and I'm not learning anything. My grades isn't affected, but my parents do limit me from technology becuause I stay on the phone and laptop alot.

Should stores sell violent video games to minors?

I think it should be the responsibility of parents to decide what their children purchase. The effects of violent video games on minors, drawing from my experience, is negligible. The fact of the matter is my experience of video games is like that of watching a film, I recognize that what I am watching is fictional and therefore my perception of what I am seeing is different from how I would perceive something in real life. As such, the effect of violent video games on me is next to nothing. Parents should be able to decide because they after all know their children best and are most able to decide what is right for their child or not

How are your own teachers using technology? Does it help you learn? Do you have any suggestions for ways that your school can better use technology to promote learning and class participation?

My teachers are using technology by putting our grades on the computer to accurate our grade. They use it to find test and quizzes for us. No it doesn't help us learn all the time , because if were learning something from them we should get assignments made up by them. My school can make us use a laptop to type notes and do homework on it. Making the homework assignment and work fun and things we'll actually enjoy doing.

No I don't have a smart phone that download app. But an app I think is entertaining is a voice changing it is good for jokes.

Without internet, I wouldn't find information as quick for my assignments or projects, essays and keeping in contact with all my friends. It would be different because I'll have more quality time to spend time outside with my friends.

There most likely to review a product they dislike, because there not quite sure about it. They read reviews, very cautious of reviews and read them with the mindset of no reviews perfect, contains partial truths.

How has Black Friday and Cyber-Monday changed to way people shop for the holidays? Do you think this is a good thing?

It has made a huge different instead of people running all over to different stores and searching to go shopping. You can find exactly what you want over the line and with the cyber sale its cheaper and the mailing is free sometimes, I think its a good thing.

My project is about the purpose and the design of computers. I created and finish the assignment in an appropriate rubric for what I was supposed do. I've credit and given all of my sources, written in the way my teacher requested. My work is to inform others how the computer is used, operates, the names of the important objects you need or use while on the computer. What I could have done better to improve my project is use more information and better titles.

Can Cellphones Be Educational Tools?

I think cell phones will eventually be used as major learning tools. Last year in a math class, my teacher asked us to pull out our cell phones and send a text to a certain number answering a poll question. The answers were sent to an online website that was able to gather all the data and put it into graphs. The cell phone number was next to each answer so the teacher was easily able to identify who was who. This method of teaching was really cool because it was so different. I think cell phones could be a really good teaching tool, however i also think they could be distracting… it all depends on who you are and how focused you can be. My phone is used as a calender for me, i use the calculator all the time and constantly safe homework assignments on it.

Yes the way someone tells a joke is as important as the joke itself, because it can be a funny joke for someone to understand or a joke of someone. The timing is if its a funny moment or that person is being serious. A timing for a joke is important because I dislike when someone is trying to be funny when I'm not in a good mood.

The purpose of copywrite is to process of writing the words that promote a person, business, opinion, or idea. Copywrite is a good thing for the public people with the original idea don't get nonprofit.

I think the difference between Internet and cable/satellite TV is that you pay a high cable or satellite TV bill every month--but what do you get for it? A lot of stations you don't watch, sprinkled with a few you like, containing entertainment that you can also find on the Internet. In fact, between the Net and old-fashioned, over-the-air broadcasts, you may have little reason to keep spending money on extra stations. Yes I think these and other technologies will coneverge.

Would you rather talk on the phone or text message someone? Why?

I would rather text because I feel more open and text what I have to say. Yet talk out loud on the phone , when I text I think and write quicker than reponsing back to it out loud.

Yes I understand information I read because I get get a good understanding, take my time and know what it's saying. Same way as if I hear it, i believe because I have a good understanding of reading and I'm a good listener.

Why do you think reading comprehension is so important? what can you do to improve your Reading Comprehension?

I think reading comprehension is important because strong reading skills can help your child do well in language arts and reading. Yes you can improve your reading comprehension, struggling with reading comprehension, there are many things you can do. One of the most effective ways for kids to improve comprehension is to read. Visit your local library and ask the librarian for book recommendations. The librarian may be able to suggest the perfect book for you and it should improve the more you read.

Would You Trade Your Paper Books for Digital Versions?

Yes I would rather read books on my phone, than in papers holding it myself. I think reading on an electronic device would change reading, studying and learning. Including digital books, which are rapidly becoming more sophisticated.I trust technology and everything that it has done for us and what it will do for us but electronic books is a little over the top. I don’t even read that much but when I do I prefer paper books. if I could hear it, and watch the examples given on a screen, that it would be a lot better. If we have lots of graphics and the information on a screen, we can comprehend the lesson much better, everyone is not the same, and does not have the same learning ability.

I believe if robots are invented, it won't be any point of humans working. Employment would change rapid in a bad way.

No , I don't think parents should spy on their kids online life. It's showing no trust, and not giving them a right to live. To control website's, that holds information on how to make a bomb. We should inform them, that type knowledge can be use in a bad conduct. If someone do use that act of crime, they should be held the same justice as the person who made a web for them to get such knowledge from.

I should include work that I'm doing in class on my google profile to educate others and show what I'm working on in class showing a positive message.

I don't think saying saying unkind things online is appropriate. Some people say unkind things over the computer because there scared to say it in person. If someone said something to mean on the internet , I would get mad and say something back unkind. Yet I feel saying things online is different from on the phone because you get a better understanding what someone is saying and the tone of there voice and also there's less misunderstanding.

If your friendly in school, the way you product yourself, as in respecting others . On websites, peer's are going to respect you the way you friendly and a good person.

Yes I believe safe and secure online communication is important. Social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter can seem like  anything goes. But even with the access and enormity of the Web, the rules you once learned on the playground still apply. And If that is broken the police can get involved.

The potential problem in giving someone your password is that if problems occur with you guys, your not sure what they can do. As in changing your password and putting wrong things on your website. This may be okay if you and a person have been friends for years, or that's your mate because theirs trust there.
